Gamelan, as a scientific journal, attracts contributions from academics and researchers-practitioners who have an interest in gamelan studies or karawitanology. UNESCO recognizes the philosophical importance of Gamelan as a form of cultural expression and a way of forging a connection between humanity and the universe. This demonstrates that gamelan is not merely a matter of sound but also the phenomena of human existence and the cosmos. Ideologically, gamelan has expanded beyond the confines of its cultural origin, and its diffusion is now nearly worldwide. It serves as a venue for critical analysis, innovative practice, and creative pedagogy, covering topics that may be unique to gamelan studies or found at the intersection of two or more disciplines.

Educational media has considerably impacted schools, institutions, and providers of open and distance education. Educational Technology for Elementary School (Edu-TES) is a scholarly journal that publishes research, evaluation, and development studies addressing the issues, successes, and challenges faced in designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating educational media.

Educational Technology for Elementary School provides a forum for exchanging information and ideas on new developments in educational media. Contributions are drawn from academics, educators, and media professionals whose ideas and experiences come from a number of countries and contexts. Priority is given to papers that reveal novel concepts of broad interest to the educational media community. We strongly emphasize interdisciplinary research that reflects the diversity of the educational technology profession.
