Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) merumuskan konstruk dan instrumen penilaian sikap berpikir kritis model Observational assessment pada aktivitas belajar siswa sekolah dasar. (2) Menyusun validitas dan instrumen penilaian sikap berpikir kritis model Observational assessment pada aktivitas belajar siswa sekolah dasar. (3) mendeskripsikan hasil instrumen penilaian sikap berpikir kritis model Observational assessment pada aktivitas belajar siswa sekolah dasar menggunakan instrumen yang telah dikembangkan. (4) mengukur efektivitas instrument. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa-siswa kelas empat dan lima Sekolah Dasar di Kecamatan Sawangan Kabupaten Magelang yang berjumlah 320 siswa. Analisis data yang digunakan meliputi analisis Exploratory Factor Anaysis, analisis reliabilitas menggunakan Cronbach’s Alpha dan analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) konstruk dan instrumen penilaian sikap berpikir kritis meliputi 5 indikator dengan 25 butir instrumen; (2) Validitas dan reliabilitas instrumen telah valid dengan nilai KMO MSA sebesar 0,678 dan menunjukkan reliabilitas tinggi dengan nilai 0,932 pada uji terbatas dan 0,752 pada uji diperluas. (3) Hasil penilaian sikap berpikir kritis siswa dapat digunakan sebagai laporan hasil belajar. (4) Efektivitas instrumen yang dikembangkan sangat efektif sehingga dapat digunakan guru untuk menilai aktivitas belajar siswa sekolah dasar.
Measuring Critical Thinking of Elementary Students Development of a Valid and Effective Observational Instrument
Abstract: The purpose of this research is (1) to formulate the construct and assessment instrument of critical thinking attitude using the Observational assessment model in elementary school students' learning activities. (2) To establish the validity and assessment instrument of critical thinking attitude using the Observational assessment model in elementary school students' learning activities. (3) To describe the results of the assessment instrument of critical thinking attitude using the Observational assessment model in elementary school students' learning activities with the developed instrument. (4) Measuring the effectiveness of instrument. This research is research and development. The subjects in this research were students in the fourth and fifth grades of elementary schools in Sawangan District, Magelang Regency, totaling 320 students. The data analysis used includes Exploratory Factor Analysis, reliability analysis using Cronbach's Alpha and descriptive analysis. The results of this study indicate that (1) the construct and assessment instrument of critical thinking attitude include 5 indicators with 25 items; (2) The validity and reliability of the instrument are confirmed, with a KMO MSA value of 0.678 and high reliability indicated by values of 0.935 for the restricted test and 0.752 for the extended test; (3) The assessment results of students' critical thinking attitudes are accompanied by descriptions and can be used as learning outcome reports; (4) The effectiveness of the instrument developed very effective so that it can be used by teachers to assess the learning activities of elementary school students.
